FLASH!!
New York State has created four new LICENSED MENTAL
HEALTH professions:
1.
PSYCHOANALYSIS;
2. MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING;
3. MARRIAGE AND FAMILY THERAPY;
4. CREATIVE ARTS THERAPY.
The State is in the process of refining the standards for
licensing for these professions. We anticipate that graduates of
the Alfred Adler Institute of New York (AAI-NY), will meet the
standards for Psychoanalysis and for Mental Health
Counseling.
Licensing will go into effect beginning January, 2006. New York
State is the third state to license Psychoanalysis after Vermont
and New Jersey.
